Everyone needs different people and wants to belong somewhere. You build your community - or communities - as you make your way through life. And you do it by making things together with others: fashion, tools, shelters and… well… life!

The holder of this badge has worked independently and in collaboration with peers at the Build your tribe skill zone of the Global Youth Skills competence framework from Institute for the Future.

You might have an impression that learning is something you do on your own, but it’s not a solo thing. When there are no others involved the risk is that the decisions taken are solely based on the self-perception of the learner. But do you have the skills and attitudes for learning together?

Check out the 7 needed skills for learning with others and reflect:
  • What were the important lessons you learnt from learning and/or working in a group? What would you keep for your future collaborations and what would you change?
  • What can you learn from people in your closest tribe(s)? And are those things - “things you can practice”?
  • What are the different online tools which can be used to support each other in learning and/or working together? Do you have a personal example - share it!
